Adding Clorox To Spa Water?

I have been using Clorox in my spa lately and it seems to give me a good pH and Chlorine ion reading. Are there any disadvantages to using Clorox instead of the more expensive Spa chemicals?

Clorox is the same as chlorine just slightly less potent

Some, Bromine and pool store chlorine have softeners in them, and will probably be easier on the skin. On the other hand, your method seems to be working just fine. If it doesn’t bother anyone, keep in up.
