Spa Pool Chemical Help Please?

We have just bought a small spa pool, and would like to know the affects and side affects of all the chemicals we were given with it, are they really necessary. Our water has no chlorine.
H2 OK
Filter Cleaner
PH Decrease
PH Buffer
O2 Shock
PH Increase
SunPurity Mineral Spa Sanitizer.
So what I would like to know is: What do these chemicals do, are they really necessary, what are the side effects etc..
Thankyou

not familiar with the names of some of those for those read the instructions for use.Filter cleaner is used to clean the filter not to be added to the water.PH decrease is an acid to lower the ph level of the water no side effect if used per instructions O2 shock is an oxidizer used to free up chlorine or bromine in the water(you do need one of these)PH increase is soda ash used to raise the ph the spa sanitizer is probably your chlorine you will also need alk up to raise the total alk and a test kit(do not use test strips Very inaccurate)will want to test water every week for at least PH,CHL,TA(total alk (the most important test)) other tests calcium hardness and cya(chl stablizer)
